This elegant jewelry box is made from Asian macassar ebony. The sides are joined by wenge dovetail splines . The top is a veneered panel of macassar ebony in a wenge frame with a Honduran rosewood and maple border inlay. The box bottom and tray are lined with brown pigskin. The lid is attached with Brusso® solid brass hinges.The bottom dividers are mahogany ant the lift out tray are curly maple, wenge and macassar ebony.
All the woods used have their natural finish.
The box has a hand rubbed Osmo ® polyx-oil finish, a combination of vegetable oils and waxes.
No stains or dyes are used. Each box is signed and all the woods used are listed on the bottom.
They are: macassar ebony; wenge; walnut; Honduran rosewood and maple.
