The body of this stunning jewelry box is African bubinga ebony "butterfly" splines at the mitered corners. The lid is a veneered panel of curly maple framed in canary wood with a tulipwood and ebony border inlay. The knob is bloodwood and purpleheart. The tray and dividers are cherry, wenge and curly maple. The bottom is lined with tan suede cloth. This box is signed and all the woods used are listed on the bottom. This beautiful one-of-a-kind box is finished at least three coats of pre-catalysed lacquer and hand rubbed to a high luster.
