The body of this stunning jewelry
box is curly shedua with ebony "butterfly" splines at the mitered corners. The ebony legs are morticed
into the body.
The lid is a veneered "book matched panel
of olive ash burl framed in wenge with a walnut and zebrawood border inlay.
The knob is solid
bocote.The tray and dividers are cherry, zedbrawood and ebony.
The bottom is lined
with tan suede cloth.
This box is signed and all the woods used are
listed on the bottom.
This beautiful one-of-a-kind box is finished at
least three coats of pre-catalysed lacquer and hand rubbed to a high luster.
