The body of this stunning jewelry box is Laotian black and white ebony with gabon ebony "butterfly" splines at the mitered corners. The lid is a veneered panel of quilted makore framed in wenge with a black and white ebony border inlay. The knob is wenge inlaid with macassar ebony. The bottom is lined with tan suede cloth. This box is signed and all the woods used are listed on the bottom. This beautiful one-of-a-kind box is finished with special oils and waxes and hand rubbed to a high luster.
