The gently curved sides give this lovely Mexican bocote jewelry box a unique look and feel. The Gabon ebony legs are mortised into the mitered corners. The mitered corners are reinforced with internal ebony "butterfly" splines. The stunning figure of the laurel burl veneer lid is given greater depth by the wenge frame and the ebony and cocobolo border inlays and solid bocote knob. No stains are used. This is the natural color of the woods. The tray and dividers are made of cherry, ebony and zebrawood inlaid handle. This box is signed and all the woods used are listed on the bottom. This beautiful one-of-a-kind box is finished with special oils and waxes and hand rubbed to a high luster. .
